A PDF file is a standard file protocol that is used industry wide. The PDF file captures all the document information in the file container, including the page layout, the font style, size and color and the general formatting, and allows the document to open with the format in place and be viewed as the document was created. The document can be viewed in PDF format without the creating software application.

The PDF editor software program is not difficult to use. The editing options allow the user to crop and rotate pages, and extract, replace and delete pages. The edit options are contained in a pull down menu that requires a click to execute. To edit a page, the user chooses the PDF document and opens the edit document menu.

The PDF editor allows the user to add pages to the document. The page can be plank or it can be a custom styled page. The page size can be set by choosing one of the standard page size options or by choosing a custom size page of the users choosing. Multiple pages can be layered and fit into a single page or over multiple pages. Pages can also be inserted directly from a scanner. An ideal application of adding pages is the if the document has standard information such as a disclaimer page or acknowledgement’s, that page can be set aside and inserted as necessary. Once the page insertions are set, the PDF editor will automatically paginate the pages.

Pages can also be extracted from the PDF document with a free PDF editor. The pages can be discarded, saved in a catch all file or saved to a new PDF document. If the pages are discarded, they are gone forever unless a backup file is available. It is always recommended to save the discarded file to a catch all file, at least until the document is complete.

Pages can also be replaced with an entirely new page or an updated version of that page. New pages can be extracted from an existing PDF file or a different project all together. Page replacement does not have to be one to one. The replacement can be multiple pages in place of one or one page in place of multiple pages.

Another helpful editing option is the ability to rotate pages with the free PDF editor. The pages can be rotated in 90 degree increments. The user can rotate certain pages or odd or even pages. File batch processing gives the user the ability to rotate multiple pages of multiple PDF's at the same time.

Pages can also be cropped by selecting the portion of the page to remain. The page portion remaining can be rotated and/or resized to an established page size. This allows the user to mix and match different parts of different pages from different PDF files and eliminates reinventing the wheel every time a document is created.

Pages can also be copied and inserted into another part of the document. It can be layered into an existing page or it can be inserted as a new or additional page.
